Alan E. Nelson is a social innovator, professor and author.  He is the Los Angeles Chair of the Institute for Management Studies, a training company that provides world class education for large corporations globally.  For more info on IMS-LA, click HERE.  For an IMS bio of Dr. Nelson, click HERE.

Dr. Nelson also teaches in the MBA program at USC's Marshall School of Business as well as organizational behavior at the Naval Postgraduate School.  His passion is in identifying and developing 10-18 year olds, gifted in leadership ability.  He's the founder of LeadYoung Training Systems, premier organizational leadership training curricula for 3-23 year olds (www.LeadYoungTraining.com). 

/files/Book Pictures/Logo.jpgAlan has a MA in psychology/communication (CSU) and an EdD in leadership from the University of San Diego.  He is considered a global expert in young leader development and is the author of 20 books and over 200 articles. He  worked for many years as a leader in the social sector and has taught a variety of grad and doctoral classes in the areas of org change, leadership development, and communication.  Alan is a vibrant speaker, trainer and leadership coach.

Alan has been married to Nancy Nelson for over 35 years. Nancy is a seasoned women's speaker and the Executive Director of Sunrise Senior Living in Studio City, CA.  At the early age of 25, she was hired by  John C. Maxwell to become a part of his lead staff and continues to excel as a popular speaker, trainer, communicator, and loves her family.

The Nelsons have three grown sons, a daughter-in-law, and granddaughter: Jeff and Angela (and Juniper), Josh and Jesse.  Alan & Nancy live in Thousand Oaks, CA.
